“I was so captivated by the heart physiology during my early training; I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything but practicing cardiology. Everything about the cardiovascular system fascinates me. Throughout my clinical rotations, I found myself in admiration of the tremendous array of diagnosis and treatment modalities that cardiologists possess. I enjoy listening to my patients and correlate their symptoms with their physical exam findings and tests. For me, nothing is more rewarding than saving a patient’s life and improving their quality of life.
“Over a decade of subspecializing and extensive training in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular ultrasound to manage heart attacks, valvular heart and rhythm diseases, has shaped my philosophy of care today. My commitment to cardiology even went one step further and I got extra training in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology.
“Taking care of critically ill patients helped me acquire needed skills to manage and save lives under severe situations. I practice evidence-based medicine for my patients who are at the center of what I do. For me a patient’s education, prevention and adherence to treatment are of utmost importance and I make sure my patients are engaged by establishing trust and providing them with all the attention needed. Every patient of mine is treated with respect and compassion, the same way I treat a family member.“
