A Service of Iowa's Largest Telemedicine Network
The Midwest Rural Telemedicine Consortium is a joint program of Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa and Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines, the two hubs. The MRTC project was developed in 1993 and now included 38 sites in Iowa including Palo Alto County Hospital and Graettinger Medical Clinic. Using fiber optic technology, the MRTC provides immediate communication between rural and urban health centers. This program helps share information rapidly, with the potential to improve patient outcomes.
PACHS uses the best technology to connect rural health care centers with the resources they need.
