About Bryon Beasley, MD

Dr. Byron T. Beasley is a board-certified physician with additional qualifications in cardiovascular disease and geriatrics, practicing within the Mercy Heart Center of Mason City Clinic since 1979. He previously served as president of the medical staff and director of cardiovascular services at Mercy Medical Center. Utilizing his extensive experience and advanced technical skills, Dr. Beasley also serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Beasley first completed his bachelor’s degree at St. Olaf College before graduating with his medical degree at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. His postgraduate training included a medical internship and residency at Indiana University Hospitals and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Iowa.

His work has also been published in leading medical publications. Dr. Beasley remains active in the medical community as a member of several professional organizations, including:

  • American College of Cardiology, Fellow
  • American College of Physicians, Fellow
  • American Heart Association, Fellow, Council of Clinical Cardiology
  • American Medical Society
  • American Society of Echocardiography
  • Cerro Gordo County Medical Society
  • Iowa Medical Society

Dr. Beasley has held many elected positions within these organizations, including on the board of directors of the American College of Cardiology and as a board member and past president of the American Heart Association’s Iowa affiliate.
