Iowa Healthcare Association’s Day on the Hill

Yesterday was Iowa Healthcare Association’s Day on the Hill, where IHCA members had the opportunity to advocate for the long-term care profession, healthcare in general and the communities we serve.
I had the opportunity to meet with Megan Jones Hess and Gary Worthan from our NW IA districts. We discussed many items including workforce, wages, malpractice reform, staffing agency reform, Medicaid rates, behavioral health and agriculture.

This was a great opportunity to address critical issues that impact our ability to provide care. I am grateful to be able to be an advocate but it is also important for our representatives to hear from you directly as community members.

It was a great day to make our voice heard and to make an impact.
